HISTORY
Please note that anything marked with a ** is headcanon. I will use this sparingly and only when canon lacks details. Weaknesses are combined with Abilities for those looking to get a leg up. A comprehensive history given thanks to the wiki here.
MEDICAL
Though he has no stated medical problems, Kuroko is seen to not be the most physically resilient. He falls asleep in some forms of training and can easily get faint around heightened temperatures.
PERSONALITY

His second most prominent trait is his lack of obvious emotion. Some of this is natural, but much of it is learned as shown by flashbacks in middle school before adopting his specific style of basketball. As a requirement, he must fade into the background, which means he can't emote or show 'fighting spirit', something Akashi points out before one of their games. Over time, this has become an ingrained and central part of his personality. While he does smile on occasion, his lack of emotion can sometimes even be at odds with his words. A noticeable example is when he admits to being very angry with a calm, emotionless tone. When his emotions do show, the moment is notable. Adding to the sense of distance is a very polite, very calm way of speaking. In the beginning, when others yell, Kuroko can't. Even when saying things out of character ("look at these guns"), he uses very polite Japanese speech (end it with 'desu' instead of 'da').
Between his even demeanor and very polite speech style, it would be easy for Kuroko to seem distant, but in reality, Kuroko cares deeply for his friends and teammates. He's willing to sacrifice any glory he may receive in order to make them shine. A running theme is his role as a shadow, a tool to be used to make other players better. If this was an RPG, Kuroko would be the red mage. However, this isn't the role of a martyr. He knows his ability to power up others is crucial, and he doesn't underestimate his own worth as a shadow. Nor is he a saint. Kuroko isn't above playing pranks, teasing while hiding behind a serious face, or even lying. In fact, below the politeness? He's a little bit of a secret troll. The most obvious example is the way he chases Kagami (who is terrified of dogs) with their team dog in a fake effort to make them friends. Kuroko may claim to have no sense of humor, but we're shown otherwise.
Even with the slightly mischevious side, the phantom is normally very direct in his everyday life. The polite speech can even do so much to dull some of his harsher comments. While rarely someone who looks to hurt the feelings of another, Kuroko doesn't pull punches when offering honest assessments. When Kagami asks if he could beat the Generation of Miracles, Kuroko admits that the red-head currently didn't stand a chance. A year(ish) earlier, he told Aomine that he would meet an even more amazing player than himself.
Sometimes, in fact, he overestimates himself and gets into situations he can't handle. This really stems from wanting to do what is right and to defend the underdog. Twice, we see him challenge multiple men twice his size because they aren't being honorable or have been cruel to someone they found weaker than themselves. When in middle school, he even occasionally clashed with Murasakibara, another player who's considerably larger than most people. This also shows us that in spite of being quiet, he isn't someone who's afraid to speak his mind or stand up for himself or others. Brave or stupid may be up for debate, but...
Another very strong trait he possesses is his determination. Arguably more than anyone, Kuroko rarely gives up. An example comes when we look at the sport that inspired the anime: basketball. He almost didn't play at all. In spite of being the protag of a sports anime, he's actually pretty terrible at the game itself. Comically so. However, he never gave up, even when the coaches urged him to do so and others mocked his inability to do...anything basketball-related. He continued to go to practice and to practice on his own, but it was only through Aomine and Akashi that he found a style he would later fully develop as his own. However, the tendency to never give up remained. No matter how difficult the game, Kuroko plays as well as he can until the end, and it's often his tenacity that saves the day. He once says that nothing is impossible and that even if they're about to lose, a meteor could hit the gym and cancel the game at the last minute.
Kuroko is also extremely observant. He's able to notice things many don't, and he's capable of adapting the plan based on his observations. From being able to read and alter Kise's copying abilities to guessing when Murasakibara's knees may give out, Kuroko uses the mental data he collects and uses them for strategic plays. The combination of creativity and observation serves him well. Since his ability to disappear lessens as the game wears on, he's often been forced to think outside of the box to remain effective. Likewise, his lack of skill in basketball required him to explore different venues to be a net benefit to the team. Akashi did originally help him in this area but since Kuroko found his niche, he's developed his skills on his own as coaches really don't know how to handle his unique style of play.
APPEARANCE

We don't see Kuroko in normal clothing very often but when we do, I'd describe it as dressing on the proper side for someone without a budget. In games, he's always wearing the same wristbands.

ABILITIES
THREADING
What: Angst, hurt/comfort, dark, and recovery stories are among my favorite. I'm also open to fluff, slice of life, smut, gen, light-hearted, and most other genres. I like action enough to write fight scenes and for the occasional meme. I'd prefer crack to be limited, but I'm fine with comedic/fun threads.
Who: Canon, cross canon, LAs, OCs, etc are all welcome. Evil characters are just as welcome as nice, and there's no canon exclusion. Basically, if you're worried about tagging me, don't be. I'll work with you. The only exceptions are canon doubles.
As a rough example of what to expect if you interact with Kuroko: unless your character has special observation skills, it's possible you won't even see him. He'll approach those who are picking on others. Kuroko is polite but direct and doesn't enjoy hearing others discouraged from following their passions around him.
Where: Kuroko defaults from the anime, but I can take him from the manga if you have a preference.
A note about AUs: I can AU him into another world within reason. I'm perfectly happy to work with you to figure out how this works, but some worlds will be more difficult than others depending on canon familiarity.
Want to AU yours into Kuroko no Basuke but don't know how? Talk to me. I'll help with that, too.
When: I'm very flexible with this. Canonmates, we can work this out. For crosscanon, it depends on the meme. By default, I choose post-anime, pre-movie.
Shipping: Yes, please. I love me a ship. However, please note that without a canon relationship or assumed CR, it will take a lot of buildup. Kuroko is played as bisexual.
In terms of canon characters, my favorites are Kiyoshi, Aomine, and Kagami, but I am open to working toward this with anyone else.
For crosscanon, it's the same approach. I'll try most things. If the character is evil, it'll be a dark!ship instead of fluffy, but I'm down for it.
Kuroko is 15-16 through canon, and I don't really want to have him be with anyone younger. I don't mind older or same-aged partners, though.
Type: Per additional material, we're told Kuroko loves gentle girls. I believe this extends to explosive personalities as well based on his close relationship with Kagami and Aomine.
Appearances will have no bearing on his relationships.
One-sided crushes are fine even if they don't meet the above criteria. Likewise, if you want to try and ship with Kuroko but don't know how, feel free to message me.
Smut: Also a yes, both canon and crosscanon. Smut will take even more buildup, but assumed CR works for memes. Again, light and dark are both welcome. Please refer to the kink list here for more detailed information.
MISCELLANEOUS
Family: Father (Akihiko**, alive), Mother (Ayame**, alive), Grandmother (alive)Kuroko's student ID number is 102153.
Kuroko's best subjects are humanities, history, and geography. He also knows passable English and is a member of the Library Committee. However, overall, he's only a passable student.
Per the character bible: if he wasn't a basketball player, he'd focus on being a kindergarten teacher.
Kuroko doesn't eat very much and when he does, he eats somewhat slowly. Often, his 'food' of choice is a vanilla shake. He actively dislikes cola as it's difficult for his stomach.
In middle school, he had perfect attendance.
